About Cedar Grove School

Our Unique Approach

Cedar Grove School offers a holistic, nature-based education rooted in Waldorf traditions. We are located at 2590 County Road 15, Picton. Our mission, vision, and values reflect a deep commitment to nurturing the whole child—head, heart, and hands—through imaginative, experiential, and relationship-rich learning. By weaving academics with creativity, movement, and a strong connection to nature, Cedar Grove empowers students to grow into capable, confident, and compassionate individuals.

Our Mission

We provide holistic, nature-based education that honours the sacred unfolding of childhood. Rooted in Waldorf traditions, our programs nurture the full spectrum of human development—head, heart, and hands—through imaginative, experiential, and relationship-rich learning. We support children in becoming capable, creative, resilient individuals who are connected to the land, themselves, and one another.

Our Vision

To return childhood to nature.

We envision a world where learning is joyful, soulful, and grounded in community and place. Where children are free to explore, create, and grow at their own rhythm, guided by mentors who honour their individuality and uphold the integrity of each developmental phase. We seek to cultivate a generation of socially conscious, environmentally attuned, and compassionately engaged human beings.

We believe that every child and family deserves to feel a deep sense of belonging. At Cedar Grove School, we actively cultivate an environment where differences are welcomed, voices are heard, and each individual is seen, valued, and supported. Inclusion is not a policy—it’s a practice rooted in empathy, respect, and community care. We commit to building a school culture that is accessible, affirming, and grounded in relationship—where all can grow in safety and dignity, together.
